Aiso Plastics aims to become the supplier of choice for cable ties and related fastening seals
Aiso Plastics cc started as a family retail business that existed since the early 1900’s. In 1983 we started plastic injection moulding of aerosol dust covers as Adia Brothers, in Boksburg Gauteng. Then, in 1990, we moved to Apex in Benoni, where we traded as Adia Bros Polymer Engineering CC. With the continued commitment to customer service, we gained experience in high speed production of packaging products.
After merging into more packaging lines for the spice market in 2006, we changed our trading name to Aiso Plastics CC and in January 2013 we began the manufacture of nylon cable ties. With this venture we hope to bring customer satisfaction to the electrical, plumbing, household and industrial sectors of the world market through stringent quality control and excellent customer service.
Younus Adia is the company owner and has a Diploma in Plastics from Pretoria Tech. Aiso Plastics cc is a member of the Plastics Institute of South Africa and is affiliated to the Plastic Converters Association.
Our cable ties manufactured in black and natural. Any other colours are manufactured on special order of a substantial order. The cable ties meet with SGS Rohs Approval and you can view these certificates, as well as our BEE compliance certificate below:
Cable Tie Experts
A cable tie is a type of fastener, primarily used for holding items such as electric cables or wires together. Because of their low cost and ease of use, cable ties are found almost everywhere, finding use in a wide range of other applications as well. Stainless steel variants, either naked or coated with a rugged plastic, cater for exterior applications and hazardous environments.
The common cable tie is normally made of nylon and has a tape section with teeth that engage with a pawl in the head to form a ratchet so that as the free end of the tape section is pulled the tie-wrap tightens and does not come undone. Another version of the cable tie allows a tab to be depressed to either adjust the tension or remove the cable tie.
Aiso Plastics cc also makes cable ties that can be used as makeshift handcuffs. These specially constructed physical restraints are based on the cable tie design, and are used by police and military to restrain prisoners.
